Berries are some of the best fruits for overall health. Blueberries are second only to goji berries when it comes to antioxidants so we love to include them. Our preference is for wild blueberries because they are smaller, sweeter and packed with twice the antioxidant density of regular blueberries. They are also equally nutritious for you frozen as they are fresh. When using frozen berries you don’t need ice! We also love the high fiber content in raspberries (2.5X more than strawberries) so they get the nod from us.
1 ½ cups frozen* wild blueberries
1 ½ cups organic raspberries
1 ½ cup organic baby spinach
½ cup Longaevitas Original CACAO Granola
*if using all fresh fruit, add ¾ cup ice cubes to the blender first and blend until chopped well.
½ banana (optional)
Add wild blueberries and raspberries to the blender first and blend until smooth. Add spinach and blend again until smooth. Divide between 2 glasses and top each with ¼ cup of Longaevitas CACAO. Alternatively, you can add the Longaevitas CACAO into the blender with the berries. The healthy fat from the nuts and seeds provide a wonderful, creamy richness that you’ll love.
Top with sliced bananas (optional)
